At Finland Oman School, we believe in the importance of partnership with parents That’s why ensure continuous communication through multiple channels such as email, phone calls, and weekly updates. These updates include detailed reports on the goals worked on during the week, along with a newsletter highlighting school activities Additionally, the department provides parents with access to their child’s file via Google Drive, where they can view videos and photos showcasing the individual session process. This allows them to track their child’s progress and implement some activities at home with the help of guidelines included in the weekly messages
The Special Education Department supports students with ASD, SCD, and Down Syndrome through tailored interventions that enhance communication, social skills, independence, and academic and developmental growth.
Partial inclusion for ages 4–7 combines individual sessions in speech, skill development, behavioral therapy, and academic support through play and art, with peer integration during music, arts, sports, swimming, outdoor play, and mealtimes to foster social interaction and gradual inclusion.
Beyond inclusion programs, the department offers student assessments, family counseling, shadow teacher training, and after-school individual sessions for speech therapy, behavior support, learning difficulties, and parent guidance.
Our Speech and Language Therapy team helps children enhance their communication skills with confidence and joy. Through engaging and interactive sessions, we support the development of speech clarity, comprehension, and expressive language in a positive and encouraging setting.
Our Behavioral Therapy Program focuses on developing positive behaviors, strengthening social skills, and building independence through evidence-based strategies in a nurturing and motivating environment.
The Learning Difficulties Support Program offers specialized academic assistance to students facing challenges in reading, writing, or mathematics. We use innovative, multi-sensory teaching strategies to help each learner build confidence and achieve academic success.
Our Family Consultation and Guidance Service supports parents in understanding their child’s needs and applying effective strategies for behavior management and positive communication—strengthening the partnership between home and school for lasting growth and success.
